Romans 8:26. The Spirit also helpeth our infirmities; the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Luke 11:1. Lord, teach us to pray. The disciples asked for what they did not yet have, and Jesus taught them.
Paul assures us that when we cannot pray, the Spirit prays within us. The disciples' request, teach us to pray, is itself a prayer God loves to answer.
Father, I do not know how to pray. Let Your Spirit pray within me, and teach me, as You taught the ones who asked.
Am I waiting to feel able to pray before I pray, when prayer begins precisely because I am not able?
Pray one honest sentence today, exactly as you are. Do not wait to feel spiritual; the Spirit is already interceding.
