Loneliness

Psalms 27:10. Though father and mother forsake me, the Lord will take me up. The deepest human absence met by the most certain presence. Hebrews 13:5. He has said, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. A promise with no expiration. The psalmist names the most intimate human rejections and meets them with God's gathering love. Scripture does not deny loneliness; it answers it with the God who draws near. Father, when I feel forsaken, remind me that You gather me. Let Your presence be enough where human company is not. Where am I searching for presence in created things before I have sought the Presence that never leaves? Spend ten quiet minutes today with no screen and no noise, simply to be present with God and to entrust your loneliness to Him.
