Proverbs 16:9. A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps. We plan; God governs.
Romans 12:2. Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.
Solomon assures us that plans are made under God's direction. Paul locates discernment in a renewed mind rather than a single dramatic sign. God's will is discerned by those being transformed.
Father, I want Your will, not mine. Renew my mind, direct my steps, and help me prove what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Am I seeking God's will with a renewed mind, or trying to extract an answer from an unrenewed one?
