Matthew 6:25. Take no thought for your life. Is not the life more than meat? Anxiety over provision competes with trust in the Provider.
Paul learned contentment as a discipline, not a temperament. Christ strengthens the believer in poverty and in plenty; the life does not consist in the abundance of things.
Lord, teach me contentment that does not depend on the bank balance. Strengthen me to trust You for today and to be faithful with what I have.
