Hebrews 13:5. He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Feeling does not govern the promise.
David cried abandonment and kept praying. The writer to the Hebrews fixes our hope on God's word, not our felt nearness. The feeling of distance never nullifies the promise of presence.
Father, I feel far, yet You have said You will never leave me. Hold me to Your word when my feelings lie.
Am I trusting my feeling of distance over God's promise that He will never leave?
