Hebrews 11:1. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith is not wishing; it is a settled substance.
Romans 10:17. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Faith is fed where the Word is heard.
Faith is a present confidence in what is yet unseen, and it grows where Scripture is heard. It is not a feeling summoned from within but a trust fed from without, from the Word of God.
Father, increase my faith. Let it be the substance of things hoped for, fed by Your Word, and rooted in Your faithfulness.
