Mark 9:24. Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. Jesus received the honest half-faith of a desperate father.
Jude 1:22. And of some have compassion, making a difference. Doubt is to be met with compassion, not contempt.
The father in Mark brought belief and unbelief at once, and Jesus met both. Doubt is not the opposite of faith; faith can cry for help through the doubt.
Lord, I believe; help my unbelief. Meet my doubts with Your compassion, and hold me where I cannot hold on.
Am I bringing my doubt to God, or am I hiding it from the only One who can hold it?
Take one honest doubt to God in writing this week. Pray it plainly, then sit with a passage that wrestles the same question.
