2 Corinthians 10:12. They measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. Comparison is folly.
Galatians 6:4. Let every man prove his own work. Attend your own field, not your neighbor's.
Paul calls comparison unwise, a measuring of ourselves against one another rather than before God. Galatians redirects attention to proving one's own work. Comparison robs joy; honest stewardship before God restores it.
Father, free me from the scale of comparison. Let me prove my own work before You, and rejoice in the assignment You gave me.
Whose life am I measuring mine against, and what would change if I measured only before God?
