Burnout

1 Kings 19:7. Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee. God met exhausted Elijah with rest and food, not a rebuke. Isaiah 40:29. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Elijah, exhausted under a broom tree, was met not with a rebuke but with rest and food, for the journey was too great for him. God gives power to the faint. Burnout is not a failure of faith but a crossroad where the Father supplies what flesh cannot. Father, the journey is too great for me. Touch me with Your provision, let me rest, and renew my strength from You. Am I trying to draw today from the strength of tomorrow, refusing the rest God is offering now? Choose one rest God is offering, a night of sleep, a quiet hour, or a day off, and take it this week as obedience, not laziness.
